She then worked as a research assistant in the Health Psychology Department at Princeton University prior to obtaining her doctorate from Lehigh University. Prior to working in private practice, Dr. Roemersma’s previous work experience included the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and an intensive residential placement program for adolescents. Her work in those settings helped her develop a strong foundation and interventions for treating depression and anxiety, including posttraumatic stress.
Dr. Roemersma has also taught several graduate level psychology courses as an adjust professor. She is well-versed in psychological theories, enabling her to apply various therapeutic approaches that best suit her clients’ needs.
