Dr. Roemersma is a licensed clinical psychologist. She has over 20 years of experience providing individual therapy, family therapy, and psychological/educational evaluations. She graduated with high honors as a double major in Psychology and Education Studies. She became a research assistant at Princeton University for a multicultural study that promoted nutrition, exercise, and healthy life choices for inner city youth. She was accepted into the PhD program at Lehigh University, as a “straight-doc”, meaning she was able to simultaneously complete masters and doctoral level requirements.
Dr. Roemersma completed her residency at a residential treatment center for high-risk teens. After obtaining her license, she worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs for several years. Dr. Roemersma joined Finding Solutions in 2010. In addition to being a therapist, she is also the current Director of Operations. She is married with two children and two dogs. She believes that life satisfaction and success come from making good life choices, coping with adversity in adaptive ways, and strengthening relationships.
