Dr. Seward is a licensed clinical psychologist and specializes in anxiety disorders, relationship issues, and parenting. She truly believes that at the heart of most behavioral and emotional issues are missing skills. The goal of therapy is to identify what is missing and then teach those skills. After years of being frustrated with the approach she was taught to utilize in the treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD she began searching for more effective and more efficient options. It was during that time she began training with a variety of experts in the field who utilize a combination of therapeutic approaches to address the patterns that foster anxiety and depression. In addition, Dr. Seward also conducts psychological evaluations to assist with diagnostic clarity for issues such as ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional disorders.

She completed her undergraduate degree at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. She received her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Western Carolina University. Following graduation from WCU, she moved to Wilmington, NC where she worked as the Staff Psychologist for the children any youth unit in a community mental health center for 2 years. Dr. Seward was then accepted into the clinical psychology doctoral program at the American School of Professional Psychology, DC campus. She completed her internship at The Women’s Center in Vienna, Virginia. She is also an online adjunct professor at Campbell University and South University.
