Who is Noelle?
Noelle Castoro has a Master's degree in Social Work. She is currently working toward licensure with a focus on eating disorders across the spectrum of eating and food related difficulties. She collaborates with clients to develop goals for physical and emotional health. Noelle also works with individuals with substance use issues, ADHD, anxiety, and compulsive behavior, self-harm, screening and gaming addiction, and sexual addiction. She works mainly with adolescents and adults. Noelle conducts individual, family, and group therapy. Noelle utilizes cognitive behavior and narrative therapies while retaining a strengths-based and person-centered approach. She also believes that the best therapy is the one that works for the individual and adjusts her therapeutic approach to fit the needs of the individual.
What is her expertise?
Noelle graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work. She completed training for trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and a certificate for screening and assessment of childhood trauma. Previously, Noelle worked with at-risk adolescents in a high school setting with varying issues including substance use, eating disorders, behavioral problems, ADHD, and other mental health issues.
Noelle recently completed post-graduate training at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where she worked in groups and one on one with individuals with varying mental health and substance abuse issues as well as trauma histories and relational problems.
What else should we know about Noelle?
Noelle is a relatively new transplant to the Northern Virginia area having moved from Hampton Roads in 2015. She is happily married and the mother of five children.
